Blue Lace Agate Long Stud Earrings

These Blue Lace Agate Long Stud Earrings bring together texture, colour, and movement in a balanced, modern design. Each earring begins with an oval disc of recycled sterling silver, shaped by hand and textured using my tiny hammer to create a softly shimmering surface. Beneath the disc sits a small cluster of natural blue lace agate chips — each one slightly different — followed by a slim, elongated silver drop made from 1.5mm wire. The full length is approximately 70mm from top to bottom, giving the earrings a sculptural profile without feeling heavy.

The long stud format keeps the design clean and anchored, while the stone chips and bar drop add subtle movement when worn. These elements catch the light differently throughout the day: the hammered texture adds a gentle metallic shimmer, the agate brings a soft blue translucency, and the polished drop gives a sleek line that finishes the form. Although they are statement in length, the earrings are surprisingly lightweight and comfortable.

Blue lace agate is known for its delicate, layered bands of pale blue and white — a natural patterning that makes each pair slightly unique. I leave the stones in their irregular form to keep the design grounded and tactile, bringing a small organic contrast to the more architectural silver shapes.

The oval discs measure around 20mm tall, and the silver drop is approximately 50mm, making the earrings around 70mm in total. Each component is shaped, textured, soldered, and finished by hand in my small Scottish workshop using recycled sterling silver. The slight differences in the hammered surface, the stone shapes, and the final form are intentional and reflect the handmade nature of the piece.

Each pair is finished, polished, packaged, and posted from Scotland using my eco-friendly packaging. They arrive ready to wear or ready to gift, presented in a simple black box that reflects the clean, understated style of the earrings.
