This hammered silver disc necklace is part of my Core Collection — a simple, textured pendant made from recycled sterling silver and finished by hand in my studio on the west coast of Scotland. Each disc is cut, shaped, soldered, and textured individually using my smallest hammer, creating a fine, even surface that reflects light softly while still revealing the marks of the making process.
The disc is finished with a clean, polished edge and a subtle area of hand-applied gold, adding a warm point of contrast against the silver without disrupting the clarity of the form. The balance of texture, polish, and gold detail gives the necklace a quiet presence that sits comfortably on the body and works well for everyday wear.
All elements of the necklace are made in small batches using traditional silversmithing techniques, from the hammered surface to the jump ring and final polish. Because the texture is applied by hand rather than machine, each pendant has slight natural variation, making every piece subtly different.
This hammered silver disc necklace can be worn alone as a simple pendant or paired with other Core Collection pieces where the focus is on form, texture, and restraint. It’s a considered, wearable design made to last, using recycled sterling silver and a deliberately understated approach to detail.

Jewellery Care
Jewellery Care
Sterling silver jewellery will naturally change over time with wear and exposure to air, moisture, and skin contact. To keep your piece looking its best, store it carefully when not worn and avoid contact with water, perfumes, and household chemicals.
Detailed care advice for sterling silver, including information on oxidised finishes and gold-plated areas, can be found in the jewellery care guide.
