Oxidised Silver Square Stud Earrings

These oxidised silver square studs form part of my Core Collection — a series focused on clean geometry, refined texture, and quiet contrast. Each earring is a precisely cut square made from recycled sterling silver. The surface is textured with my smallest hammer, creating a fine pattern that softens the edges and gives the metal a subtle, diffused shimmer.

After texturing, each square is oxidised to a deep charcoal tone and finished with a controlled section of selective gold plating. The diagonal transition from darkened silver to warm gold brings a gentle highlight to the piece without overwhelming the simplicity of the form. Because the gold is applied by hand, the exact shape of the highlight varies slightly, while the square dimensions remain consistent.

Designed to sit neatly on the ear, these studs are small but distinctive — an easy pair for everyday wear. Their mixed-metal surface means they sit comfortably alongside both silver and gold jewellery, and the paired-back geometry keeps them versatile with different styles and outfits.

Each pair is cut, textured, oxidised, selectively plated, soldered, and finished in my small Scottish workshop using recycled sterling silver. Sterling silver posts and scroll backs ensure a secure, comfortable fit. They arrive in my eco-friendly packaging, ready to wear or gift.
