Silver Gold Disc Stud Earrings

These silver gold disc stud earrings form part of my Core Collection — a series focused on clean geometry, refined texture and subtle contrast. Each earring is a precisely cut circular disc made from recycled sterling silver, finished by hand to emphasise surface and material.

Two surface textures are available. One option is finished using my smallest hammer, creating a fine, even texture that softly scatters light across the silver. The other is made using a customised hammer that produces a rougher, more organic surface, with slightly bolder marks and more visible variation across the disc. Both textures are applied by hand and remain consistent across each pair.

A section of selective gold plating is applied to each disc, introducing a warm highlight against the cool silver. The gold is added in a controlled, deliberate area, keeping the design minimal while creating a quiet point of contrast. Because the plating is applied by hand, the exact placement of the gold may vary slightly, while the circular form itself remains precise and consistent.

Designed to sit neatly on the ear, these studs are noticeable without being oversized, making them easy to wear day to day. Their mixed-metal finish means they work comfortably alongside both silver and gold jewellery, and the simplicity of the form keeps them versatile across different outfits and styles.

Each pair is cut, textured, soldered, selectively plated and polished in my small Scottish workshop using recycled sterling silver. Sterling silver posts and scroll backs ensure a comfortable, secure fit.
