This silver pillar pendant necklace is part of my Core Collection — a long, slender pendant made from recycled sterling silver and finished with my rough hammer texture. Each piece begins as raw silver wire, drawn, shaped, and forged by hand until it forms a clean, vertical column with subtle marks that reveal the making process.
The lower section of the pendant has a hand-applied touch of gold, giving a warm contrast to the cool silver and catching the light in a quiet, understated way. The surface texture is slightly rugged compared to my tiny-hammer pieces, offering a more tactile feel without becoming heavy or ornate.
Every pendant is shaped, soldered, filed, and polished in small batches in my studio on the west coast of Scotland. Because the texture is applied by hand, each necklace will have slight natural variation — part of what makes handmade jewellery distinct from anything cast or mass-produced.
This silver pillar necklace works well as an everyday piece, worn alone or layered with shorter pendants. It’s minimal, wearable, and designed to last.

Jewellery Care
Jewellery Care
Sterling silver jewellery will naturally change over time with wear and exposure to air, moisture, and skin contact. To keep your piece looking its best, store it carefully when not worn and avoid contact with water, perfumes, and household chemicals.
Detailed care advice for sterling silver, including information on oxidised finishes and gold-plated areas, can be found in the jewellery care guide.
